The CAC is supported by funding from Colorado Creative Industries Division, a State Agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a Federal Agency.
The Creede Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote the arts and humanities in our community through education, exhibition and performance, and to foster local artistic talent.
The specific goals of the Creede Arts Council include, but are not limited to:
- Providing opportunities for the creation of new works;
- Celebrating and preserving Creede’s heritage through the arts;
- Involving children and adults in the arts through educational programs;
- Creating a healthy, visible, recognizable arts atmosphere in Creede;
- Exposing increased numbers of people to the arts and humanities;
- Promoting community and economic development through the arts.
