The Creede Arts Council would like to offer a sincere thanks to each of our photographers for participating in this year's Mountain Shootout Photography competition. Our judge this year, Chere Waters, was thrilled with the submissions and we are all blown away by the talent represented in our artists' work.

Out of 38 entries, Judge Waters selected a first place, second place, and third place winner as well as five honorable mention awards.

The winners are as follows:

First Place: ‘Breakfast Rush’ by Scott Hizny

Second Place: ‘Retirement’ by Tom Hetzel

Third Place: ‘Windmill between Des Moines and Clayton NM’ by Bob Seago

Honorable Mentions (five awards): ‘Old Frosty Fence’ by Dennis Schoenfelder, ‘Nature’s Piercing’ by Amber Newhouse, ‘Black Sheep of the Family’ by Amber Newhouse, ‘Chasing Shadows’ by Tristan Porco, and ‘Monumental Meditation’ by Keelia Killip
